UPDATE ON EMMA: After careful observation and consideration, it is felt best that Emma remain in her foster home and live out her life in refuge at Road To Home. With her blindness and management of her hernias, moving her and asking her to readjust may prove to be too stressful for this old girl. As lively and funny as she is, she is very adjusted to her foster home and routine, and we don’t want her to worry anymore.
If you would like to sponsor Emma to help continue her care which includes a special diet and daily meds, please visit www.roadtohomerefuge.org/donate to make a contribution to her long-term care.
Emma came to us from a high kill shelter after she was found stray. She is a Chihuahua and estimated to be 14 years old. Emma is blind, has bi-lateral hernias, and poor teeth as we believe that she wasn’t ever taken to the vet. With this laundry list, Emma is incredibly vivacious and lovable. She has adapted well to her foster home and does fine with other dogs and kids.
